Should I wait to take a test?

Yesterday my husband & I were going to the store & it was a little chilly outside so i had on a long sleeve shirt & a jacket. Well while he was driving all of a sudden I got really hot & had to take off my jacket & I was feeling sick. Then this morning when I got up I felt a little dizzy & couldnt really see anything so I had to lay back down. I am not supposed to start my period until next week so should I wait til I miss my period before I take a test?
